Dr. Fernanda Leite has worked as a #projectmanager in Brazil including multiple government and commercial building construction projects. Today, she is preparing and inspiring the next generation of builders learning at the University of Texas teaching Project Management and Economics, as well as graduate-level courses on Building Information Modeling and Construction Safety.

Her technical interests include information technology for project management, BIM (building information modeling), collaboration and coordination technologies, and information technology-supported construction safety management. She has a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering, from Carnegie Mellon University. Her teaching philosophy is aligned with Scrum's empirical process control theory roots. People learn by doing.
