Steve B Martin

Christian, Husband of 1, Father of 2, Papa of 4.

Steve’s career has been a continuous broadening and combining of skills and talents enabling world-class breakthrough ideas leading to; process improvements, cost reductions, and a better way of life. Steve has been blessed in achieving 30+ years of diverse Manufacturing, Operations, and Business experience with core competencies in Lean Transformation and Process/Manufacturing Engineering.

While working for The Wiremold Company in November of 1997, Steve traveled to Japan and was formally trained in lean manufacturing concepts. Most importantly during this trip, he learned the critical skills of lean thinking and how to practice kaizen with the help of the Shingijutsu Consulting Group.

This 'once-in-a-lifetime' opportunity enabled him to fully comprehend the significance and relevance of how people and processes are intimately connected.

It changed his career vision forever.

He has engaged kaizen ever since - planning/leading/facilitating hundreds of kaizen events, championing lean enterprise initiatives, and creating positive environments that help lean cultures develop and thrive.

Steve calls the things that motivate him, his 4P’s:
People that need help, People who feel stuck, People willing to learn, and Puzzles.

Having served on several worship teams, Steve enjoys singing, as well as playing acoustic and bass guitar.

If given the choice between Good, Better, or Best…Steve chooses Better.

His unique life journey has led him beyond the status quo of Best…and nothing brings him more joy than seeing People and Processes rise to Better than Best.
